New Life-New
Music-More
Metal
We've
got some huge news for those of you that keep up on your local metal! KALIGO has
moved to Athens, GA!!! We now have a 6 bedroom house with 3,700sqfeet and a
basement the size of a small basketball court. We're turning into a media
compound. Including a long awaited brand new recording studio, video production
lab, marketing/booking office and a flat out pimp place to kick it. The house is
in walking distance from downtown Athens, and crawling distance from the bars!
With one of the top 5 universities in the US being less then five minutes up the
road this scene is bang'n and is a huge marketing spot! The weather is badass!
We threw our winter coats away, and are loving it! A huge thanks goes out to
local hip-hop artist
JaZ NazT for driving down here twice so far since Nov to help us build our
new studio. It's about a 10 person job from the ground up and he's been doing it
by himself with some help here and there from Dylan. You can see pics of the
progress on Dylan's myspace blogs:
www.myspace.com/dylandroth. Both Kaligo and The Boundless plan to
record new full lengths sometime in April. Some of the members will be flying
down here on the 15th to check this place out and prep for the upcoming disks.
Lots more to come! If you interested or have any questions please visit us at
www.myspace.com/kaligo to leave
comments. Keep it real and support local music!!!!!!

- Jameson & other stuff.....
Has spawned a muck of new rifferies of the metal persuasion. Kaligo has spent
many-a-few nights writing and becoming inspired by the recent shift of events in
our lives and in our opinions have created some of our finer songs in the
process. The new album sessions are about a month away from beginning. Our good
friends Thom Schwartzhoff and Vinny B are busy compiling footage from the April
"Fightfest" show for a potential DVD to be released. New Merch coming soon, we
promise. Don't forget to check us out August 4th in downtown Sandusky @ The
Underground, contact us for free tickets! Also on August 26th, we will be back
in Kent @ Screwy Louie's w/ the new Culture of the Poor, Salt the Wound, The
Boundless, as well as a possible surprise set from a side-project band lying
dormant for a long time, any idea? Don't miss this show and find out for
yourself!!! Until next time.......

- Keep'n it real!!!
I know some of you have been asking "wear the hell are you guys". Just wanted to
take this chance to let everyone know we're very much alive!!! We've just had a
lot going on lately. Dylan's playing with not only Kaligo but he's also took on
The Boundless, RuNT, Tiny Giant, and Rott as well. He's in the in the middle of
engineering/producing the new Boundless demo, the new Tiny Giant DVD, and the
long awaited Rott disk as well. Josh is still doing the Kaligo thing a long with
Runt. Drew's also playing in The Boundless and KB is currently jamming with TG,
KALIGO, and Runt. Last but not least Bob Clark is also doing Fully Consumed...
So needless to say we've had our hands full. But never fear... on top of all
that KALIGO's 90% done writing a whole new album. We're heading into the studio
next month to begin tracking 10 brand new songs for our 1st full length. We've
also got some shows booked for Aug 26th @ Screwy's, and Aug 4th @ The
UnderGround in Sandusky, OH so stay tuned and your bound to catch an ear full!!!

5.26.05 - Updates
Last few shows were a
blast. Thanks to our new friends in "Waiting For Never" the erie show was much
fun. Turnout was great, and we had the pleasure of sharing the stage with STEMM
once again. All the bands put on a great show. It was all good until the end of
the night when... we locked our keys in the van again!!! Dammit does that suck.
We battled with AAA for a few hours, but they ended up screwing us in the
long-run. Josh and Dylan had to pull out some criminal skills while barrowing a
few tools from the road for stemm. Finally we broke into that bitch and we're
all set to go when we then realized we had to wait for everyone else to move
there vans/cars cause we we're blocked in a 1 way alley. After waiting for
another solid 2 hours, we we're finally on our way back to Ohio @ 3:00 in the
morning. Just thought I'd fill you in on the phat action that went down that
night. On another note we have a show coming up @ the Khameleon in Kent, OH June
3rd. Hope to see you all there!!! OH ya!!! almost forgot.... THE NEW DISK IS
FINALLY DONE!!!!!!!!! We hope to send it out to get dubed in the next 2
weeks or so. We'll keep you posted!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for your support!!!!

all the way finished. It's yet to be mastered, and we'll be doing some
additional mixing on Blanket Face and Defiance. I posted the titled track "All
String Attached" on myspace.com and I also embedded the myspace XML player right

2.17.05 - Awesome News!!!
First of let me
personally thank every one of you that came out to the show for your support.
The benefit was a huge success! Mom pretty much covered it on the front page
there but I'd like to throw a few shout outs to some people myself as well.
Thanks to: My brother Will and AA Sound and Lighting for making the stage and
show look sweet, my band for all there hard work they did, the girls working
merch and bake sale, the bands STEMM/BONK/RED CELLAR DOORS/SKINNYTREE for all
understanding and making this show possible, all the sponsors for the help and
promotion, and everyone else involved especially the fans!!! We had a great time
and are proud to say we raised almost $3,000 for the cause!!! On another note,
we've finally got word on finishing up the new CD. I was informed today that
Justin has also entered producer/engineer Dan Certa (Devil Driver, Helmet, and
many others) in on the making of this new CD. He's going to help out with
getting the sickest drum tones and maybe some mixing. It's looking like I'll be
heading out to California March 14th. We're all looking forward to it and can't
wait to come home with a new disk!!! Check back for more updates!!
2.9.05 - New merch at the show
this Sat.
Finally!!!!! New
merchandise has arrived. We'll have brand new t-shirts courtesy of Chris Dawson
(thanks man).
As well as new skull caps! Other then that this weekends show is looking
promising. We have a great line up, and all kinds of shit going on. 1st off It's
the same old price $5 if 21 $7 if under, 2nd we'll be holding a raffle to help
raise money for the cause. The raffle tickets will only be 2 or 3 bones, and
we'll have food as well. Thanks everyone for your continued support over the
years, and we're all looking forward to releasing our new CD. So keep checking
back for more updates on that,
2.4.05 - New song on Myspace.com
We have a new
pre-production track posted @
www.myspace.com/kaligo . There's no vocals on it yet, but it's one of the
new songs. So you can all kinda see what we have going on. I'm about to post a
few clips of me and KB jamming drums and bass on 2 of the new songs back from
LA. You can find them in D. Roth's Studio Journal on this site. The link it
below \/. Also I might post a few new pics as well. So go check that shit out.

1.27.05 - Updates all around
Tracking is going well
on the 3 song demo we're doing while we wait for our new EP to get finished. The
EP drum tracks we'll be back here from LA by Friday. So it's new tunes all

so get a hold of us if you need tickets. You can e-mail me @
info@kaligoband.com . Also check out D.
Roth's Studio Journal for new updates.
1.24.05 - New new studio
tracks!
KALIGO's going in the
home studio tonight to track 2 or 3 new tunes. However these most likely will
not make it on our upcoming release, but we felt bad for taking so long so we're
going to give everyone something to chew on for a while until our new E.P. is
done.
1.17.05 - Site revamp
tonight!!!
What's up everyone. I
didn't really build a new site, but I cleaned up this one adding some bells and
whistles here and there. Sorry for the lack of updates. As usual things are
always so intense around here. For those of you that don't know. My mother
ending up with a shitty case of "the cancer". Ya...shitty. Things were gonna be
alright @ 1st and we weren't even going to have a benefit, but we ran into some
major complications along the way. So we all hope to see everyone out @ the
VooDoo Feb.12 for our 3rd annual
VALENTINE'S DAY MASSACRE
with special guests
STEMM
(NY),
BONK, Red Cellar Doors, and Skinnytree. This show has been turned into a benefit
show for Debbie Roth. All proceeds will go to her to help pay for the hospital
bills. We've got a few sponsors and are currently working for find more.
So if anyone has and suggestions feel free to send them my way
info@kaligoband.com . To help raise
more money we'll be selling food (pizza, pop, shit like that) and there will be
a kick ass raffle. We'll be raffling off things like gift cards,
JÄGERMEISTER gear, free tattoo's,
other bands donated merchandise, and a few other surprises. More updates coming
in a day or so about upcoming releases and new KALIGO music! Stay tuned to
kaligoband.com,
support local music!

11.4.04
- New stuff to talk
about!!!
Hell ya thanks to all
you metal and drunk mother fuckers in Dayton last Sunday. That show was
badass!!! Also a big thanks to the band and new friends Sore Covered Whore for
having us out and showing us a good time. The show the Friday before that was
even more badass, all the hometown folk in Akron are some good old metal
supporting people. We played a great set and all the other bands ruled. This New
Dawn... What-chu-know!?!? They are badass!!! OK sorry to jump subjects and
expressing my A.D.D. but last but not least. I have my studio rig set up in my
home and am currently still working on the Blanket Face Track. I'll have that out
as soon as possible. Till next time...PEACE!!!
10.28.04
- Blanket face Demo about
done
We just got done with
all the tracking for B-Face last night. Hope to have it mixed and on the site in
a day or so. Also big show tomorrow in our home town @ the VooDoo. Hope to see
all of you there!!!!! More updates coming soon, so stay tuned!!!
10.20.04
- demo track and show date added!!!
Go check out the studio
section and download the titled track "I'll be the one who shows". Also we're
going to be making a weekend out of the 29th, 30th, and 31st. The 29th we'll be

week. So go download the shit out of them. Also keep checking back weekly for
more tracks and mpeg's to come. I'll have more info for our next show up real
soon...
9.14.04 - Sept. 11th show
was a success
9/11 was a hell of a
show!!! Thanks to 13-even and A.J.A.R. for traveling all the way to Akron for
the show. All the bands had a great set and the crowed seemed to dig it. For
those of you that are wondering, Sham has chosen to leave the band. It's hard to
keep things together when you do as much work as we do. Sham worked is ass off
for this band for a long time, but he's chosen to go separate ways to do other
things. The art will be missed that's for sure, it was a hell of a time while it
lasted. But you haven't seen us die yet! All this stuff happening reminds me of
way back when, when Lil Josh and I started this band in my basement @ age 13. Ah
the good old days... when it was all about jamming and having fun. Kaligo's
going to remain a 5 piece and continue touring and writing music. We're taking
is easy for a while on the shows and what not. We're focusing a lot on this new
album and still plan to play a few shows here and there. So stay tuned! PEACE!!!
9.4.04 - Updates to the
site!!!!!!!!!
[News,
Shows,
Recording,
etc.]
Back by popular
demand...lol Sorry for the lack of updates folks. However the reason I've been
slacking so much on the site is due to the amount of time I've been putting into
the new recording. We're done tracking all the drums, and have begun the 1st few
stages editing. I just recently purchased a new DVD burner just so we could send
all these files out to
THE MAN (Justin
Harvey)
in L.A. to really do it up. The files should definitely be sent out by Monday to
LA. Once he finishes up the drums, he'll then ship them back for use to finish
all the tracking of bass, gut, and so on... In other news we've got a hell of
a show coming up Sept. 11th @ the VooDoo in Akron. For those of you that
don't know, we'll be shooting all the live footage for our upcoming video.
We'll have a camera crew there all night getting footage to use from our home
town. New flyer for that show should be available soon! And for your information
we just received an ass load of new pics from tour thanks to Kyle Beck
and many others. Pics should be up in the next two days if not early this
morning. So check back for those, and I'll have more news on shows for you
shortly.
8.17.04 - E.P. Update
Well it's about 6:00am
and I (dylan) just got home from the studio. DRUMS ARE DONE!!! Next we're moving
on to bass. I got there at about 4:30pm yesterday afternoon. Didn't get set up
until about 5:30pm and due to stoner moments/other random reasons didn't start
tracking until about 7:00pm. Crazy huh.. well point is drums are done. We'll
probably start on bass either Wednesday or early next week. We'll keep you
posted!!!
8.15.04 - New Merch on
the way
We've got some cool new
buttons on the way in 5 or 6 different styles. We'll have them @ the next show
Sept. 11th @ the VooDoo. Peep'em>

8.9.04 - Good Times
Yo, yo, yo!!! Man oh
man have the past two weeks been fucking awesome!!! We played 6 or 7 shows and
traveled over 2,500 miles through OH, IL, IN, and NY. Every show we played was
awesome! People definitely dug it everywhere we went. Sold a great amount of
merch and put out about 200 copies of the new demo. Keep your eyes out for the
new list of shows coming up. We've got another tour lined up with this band
named
Index Case. In September we'll be heading to
Grand Rapids, MI - Cedar Falls, IA - Fargo, ND - Des Moines, IA
- Round Lake, IL. Also a huge thanks
goes out to all of the people that hooked us up with a place to stay. We can't
thank you guys enough for the good times. Hope to see you all again soon.
PEACE!!! OH YA IF YOU ALL DON'T KNOW ABOUT HEMLOCK GO CHECK THEM OUT!!! SOME OF
THE FINEST PEOPLE WE'VE EVER HAD THE PLEASURE TO TOUR WITH!hemlockworld.com
